International Conference for Civil Engineers held in CUET
3 day long 5th International Conference ends today (Saturday)at Chittagong University of Science and Technology on the progression of civil engineering in sustainable development.
The conference covered 8 plenary lectures including 24 technical sessions. In the concluding session, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Alamgir adorned the chair of the chief guest. Through virtual presence, the guest of honor puts emphasis on the importance of environmental sustainability while undergoing development activities in combatting climatic risks.
The conference was anchored by Prof. Shyamol Acharya of the civil engineering department where Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, Vice-Chancellor of CUET was the Chief Guest.
The conference was chaired by Prof. Dr. Omar Imam. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rabiul Alam, Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Prof. Dr. Aftabur Rahman, Member- secretary of technical committee and M. Tajul Islam, Product Management Manager of BSRM delivered their speeches at the conference.
Best paper awards in 6 categories were handed over in the concluding ceremony.
